Yesterday, April 11, the Day of Russian Economy took place at the Industrial Fair in Hannover.

Russia was represented in Hall No 13 with the floor space of close to 7 thousand sq.m by 150 enterprises. At the event Russia posed as the special guest with the “Partner Country” status. The inauguration ceremony was attended by President of Russia and Chancellor of Germany.

Within the framework of the Day of Russian Economy program a forum was organized dealing with the issues of developing economic cooperation between Russia and Germany. In a close dialogue with their German partners, managers of Russia’s leading companies discussed possibilities of a strategic partnership between the two countries.

President of YAROVIT Group of Companies Andrei Birukov in his address drew special attention toward issues of cooperation ties between medium- and small-scale businesses of Germany and Russia, as well as the important role of the state in developing those ties. Policies of both states, on the federal as well as local levels have to concentrate on assisting the development of medium-scale businesses.

The most common question asked in the course of the forum was that dealing with what advice Russian entrepreneurs could give to German businessmen planning to step on the Russian market. Answering this question, Andrei Birukov enumerated a number of components obligatory to a successful business in Russia: availability of a serious partner, correct evaluation of the economic and political situation, understanding of Russian mentality and prompt decision-taking.

Closing his address the President of YAROVIT Group of Companies said: “Our participation in the forum is not accidental. We have long-time partnership relations with such large German companies as Deutz, ZF, Bosh, Siemens. Throughout the long years of cooperation, we have never faced any problems, and we are confident in further development of relations with our German partners”.
