1st stage of All-Russia rally raid Cup “Russian Forest”

The team YAROVIT-ROSAGROLEASING was represented at the “Northern Forest” baja by four crews: Andrei Birukov / Dmitri Kniga, Leonid Novitski / Oleg Tupenkin, Pavel Loginov / Andrei Neshin, Vladimir Tupenkin / Andrei Rudnitski. On record, the results of all the crews leave much to be desired, however, if one forgets about penalization which exceeds the race overall time, all crews out up a tough fight for prizes in their classes.

 

 

It should be noted that the team YAROVIT-ROSAGROLEASING acted as organizer of the preliminaries performed in a new format, which everyone without exception liked, both the participants and the spectators of whom the organizers took good care. There was a raffle organized with an attractive cash prize for the spectators who bought tickets to the Motor Sports Stadium where the preliminaries were raced.

And even though there were fewer spectators than the stadium could sit, the lucky guy happened to be among those. The top raffle prize of 240 000 rubles was handed over to one of the not-so-numerous spectators.

Modesty prevented racers of YAROVIT-ROSAGROLEASING team to take prizes in the preliminaries, so they decided to draw attention of the spectators by halting on the track’s most interesting turn, pretending that they needed evacuation.

The ensuing two days of races demonstrated preparedness of the motorists and vehicles of the team to show the highest results. Only outrageous penalization for overspeeding in limited-speed zones of all the team crews without an exception, struck out the entire team from prize-winners of the stage. It should be noted that violations were due to mistakes in the road books served by organizers of the “Northern Forest” baja.
 

The quality of preparing the road books and the number of mistakes in those by no means corresponds to the level of one of Europe’s biggest national rally raid championships.

The team manager submitted a protest, citing the definite violations and deviations, however, the speed of response of the Referees’ Board and the Motor Sports Committee corresponds to the Russia Championships title even in a lesser degree than the quality of those road books.

The second stage of All-Russia Championship will start at the end of April, the team YAROVIT-ROSAGROLEASING is looking forward to this most spectacular and interesting race of the season and hopes that the number of referees’ mistakes and faults will sooner (so much better) or later result in a breakthrough in the organization and conduct of tournaments.
