On July 9-10 the 2^nd stage of Al-Russia Rally Raids Open Cup took place. This time the competition was organized at Luga near Saint Petersburg. YAROVIT-ROSAGROLEASING, Krasmotorsport, VMP Racing, Off Road Wrangler Club teams lined up at the starting line. All in all 34 teams were on the roster.

The participants of the tournament had to drive the maximum number of laps within 4 hours. The length of one lap was a bit less than 27 km.

The event turned to be a success for the crews of YAROVIT-ROSAGROLEASING team. All the 5 crews of the team fought hard throughout the 4 hours of the race. One of the leaders of the event, the crew of Andrei Birukov and Dmitri Kniga, made 10 laps and took 1^st place in their category T1 and 2^nd place overall.

 

The team crew of Vladimir Tupenkin and Andrei Rudnitski, who participated in the national class, succeeded to make 9 laps and took the 2^nd place, losing by a low margin to the crew of Benjamin Jepayev and Kirill Shubin who drove a UAZ jeep.

The many-times participants and prize-winners of jeep trial events, the crew of Leonid Novitski and Oleg Tupenkin in a Mitsubishi Pajero made 8 laps in the race and took the 5^th place in the most prestigious T2 Super Production class. In the same class the debutants in the YAROVIT-ROSAGROLEASING team, the crew of Pavel Loginov and Andrei Neshin, took the 6^th place.

One more Belarusian participant and organizer of jeep trial competitions in the Republic of Belarus Serguei Shkel, with his navigator Yuri Lopatin, participated for the second time in a rally raids tournament. This attempt was a better success for them as they coped with the route and took the 5^th place in T1 class.

The good performance of all YAROVIT-AGROLEASING team crews brought it the first place among the teams.
