The Motor Sports Federation of Saint Petersburg “Off-Road 4 x 4” jointly with the team “Nart Time” is posing as organizers of the only one in the world snow Baja rally-raid “Severny Les”. All-wheel-drive vehicle winter races had been conducted in Russia before, but those competitions had never received such an elevated status, nor had been conducted at such a high organizational level.

The spectators will see three Special Sections (as distinct from the classical rallies whereby each special section does not last for more than 20 minutes, for the raids this pleasure may be protracted for a whole day). This time the spectators will be given directions (right, the directions, as exact orientation is impossible for this motor sport category), where they will be able to catch glimpses of participants of the Russia Cup.

8 teams entered their preliminary requests for participation in the event, a Belarus – Russia team “YAROVIT – AGROLEASING” among them. Andrei Birukov and Dmitry Kniga represent the Belarusian side. They are representatives of the company YAROVIT, which had been organizer of several truck trial cups and competitions. The crew whose captain is Andrei Birukov has been several times participant and champion (2002 and 2003) of the Republic of Belarus Open Jeep Trial Cups.
