News / 03 June 2009Constituent conference of the Business council on the cooperation of Russia and Belarus held in the Chamber of Commerce and IndustryOn May 28, 2009 the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia housed the constituent conference of Russian Business council on the cooperation with the Republic of Belarus. The heads of more than 70 organizations and enterprises of Russia participated in the conference, along with the representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia and its regional branches, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Permanent Committee of the Union State.
The conference was addressed by the Senior vice-president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia Boris Pastykhov, the chairman of the international union of public organizations «The Union Public Chamber» Gennadiy Seleznev, the head of the Second department for CIS states of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Nikita Matkovskiy, the head of the department for industrial policy and industrial programs of the Permanent Committee of the Union State Boris Bezlepkin.  Andrey Biryukov, the head of «YAROVIT» holding, was appointed the chairman of the Business council on the cooperation with the Republic of Belarus. In his speech Andrey Biryukov highlighted the aims and objectives of the established Business council. The elected vice-chairmen are Leonid Novitskiy, the first deputy director general of JSC «Rosagroleasing», and Anatoliy Koika, the chief examiner of the Department for Business councils of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia.
