News / 11 March 2004Decisive fifth stage of Republic of Belarus National Olympic Committee Jeep Trials Cup will take place in Borisov on 7-8 NovemberThe competition in the town of Zhodino barely over, the organizers have started preparations for the closing 5th stage of the Republic of Belarus National Olympic Committee jeep trials Cup. The decisive stage shall take place on November 7-8 at the “French Hillock” tank training field. The competitors have a few days in store to prepare their vehicles for the start, which will determine the strongest ones of this season. In order to climb the highest rung overall, the crews will have to face serious resistance and fight against strong rivals and complicated obstacles. According to the contest organizers, pleasant surprises are awaiting the fans and sportsmen in Borisov during the closing stage. Rewards will also find their due owners among the journalists, for the best reports and photos covering the “French Hillock” tank driving field events. Following the four stages, the following crews are overall leaders of the Cup: Category B1:
Friedmann Kuehenmeister/Grigory Kamenyuk: 1st place with a total score of 170 points (1st stage)
Andrei Birukov/Dmitry Kniga: 2nd place with a total score of 146 points (1st stage)
Mikhail Gretchiha/Konstantine Volodko: 3rd place scoring a total of 117 points (1st stage)
Category B2:
Vyacheslav Shilenkov/Sergei Gorely: 1st place scoring a total of 150 points (1st stage)
Andrei Gusak/Valeri Yermolinsky: 2nd place scoring a total of 88 points (1st stage)
Alexander Varaksa/A.Lifanov/A.Maximovich: 3rd place scoring 43 points overall (1st stage)
