For the first time all the directions of the national system of transportation were displayed in Russia within the framework of a unified exhibition: the railroad, motor vehicle, aviation, pipeline transports and associated logistics.

 

The exhibition was organized by the Government of Sverdlovsk oblast and Administration of the city of Nizhni Taghil, with assistance of the Ministry of Transports of the Russian Federation. The premises were put at the disposal of the exhibition by the “State Demonstration and Exhibition Center of Armaments and Military Equipment” of the Federal Government Unitary Enterprise “NTIIM”, where demonstrations were staged on special obstacle-course tracks of the armor and motor vehicle equipment displayed at the exhibition.

 

 

The exhibition “Magistral 2005” was inaugurated by Chairman of the Government of Russia Mikhail Fradkov. On completing a tour of the exhibits arranged on the driving grounds, the Chairman, together with the Governor of Sverdlovsk oblast Edward Rossel and Minister of Transportation Machinery-Building of the Russian Federation Igor Levitin, cut the traditional red ribbon.

 

Immediately following the exhibition, the company truck headed for the next destination – Almaty (Kazakhstan) where it had to participate, within one week, in yet another event, the 11^th Central Asia International Exhibition and conference “Mining World Central Asia 2005”.
