YAROVIT Motors at “Motor Show – 2005”

The Exhibitions Center “Expocentre” in Krasnaya Presnya hosted on 24-28 August 2005 the 9^th International Exhibition “Motor Show – 2005”.

The company YAROVIT Motors (Saint Petersburg), Russia’s producer of heavy duty severe service YAROVIT trucks took part in the exhibition.

One year has passed from the moment when GLOROS dump trucks were for the first time presented to general public within the framework of the exhibition MIMS-2004. This year was packed with events: operating tests of the vehicles in various regions of Russia, participation in regional and branch-of-industry exhibitions, new contracts for delivery of the trucks, certification of new models and, of course, the event of special significance for any company – official inauguration of the new Russian motor vehicle plant “YAROVIT Motors” in Saint Petersburg, attended by Governor of Saint Petersburg V.I.Matviyenko. In September, the company YAROVIT Motors plans to take part in the 11^th International Exhibition of Mining and Metallurgical Industries (Almaty, Kazakhstan).

At “Motor Show 2005”, the company displayed new models of the GLOROS truck family:

GLOROS А5402D— a coal dump truck designed to haul cargos of low specific weights (the vehicle features an enlarged base and body capacity). The wheel formula is 8х6. Payload: 35.3 tons. Body capacity: 20.8 m³, or 30.4 m³ with built-up sides.

GLOROS А5401D— a general-purpose ore truck designed to haul bulk cargos in construction branches, or in quarries of ore mines. The wheel formula is 8х6. Payload: 35.4 tons.

GLOROS A7801D— for the first time a 10x8 wheel formula “tridem”-configuration dump truck was displayed at the exhibition. Payload: 40.7 tons. Body capacity: 25.3 m³.

The vehicles shown at the exhibition evoked great interest of the exhibition visitors and mass media. The five-axle truck, naturally, attracted special attention. It was built in cooperation with the company Terberg, one of European leading manufacturers of HEAVY DUTY trucks. Such vehicles are a novelty in Russia. The first automobile, as all the prototypes of in the YAROVIT truck line, was configured to be a dump truck, which enables to perform the test runs of the vehicle within the shortest time possible and in the most grueling operating conditions, with the maximum admissible axle loads. The truck was awarded a prize in the contest “Best Off-Road Motor-Vehicle of “Motor Show 2005” Exhibition”.
