YAROVIT TRUCKS PRODUCTION

Cab

Cab variants have been developed taking into account the diversified conditions of the trucks operation and the requirement of maximum degree of comfort for the driver. The customer has a possibility to choose the cab which meets most fully the requirements of the specific line of business.
Low cabs

are designated for vehicles mounting special equipment. These include construction, lumber equipment, fire engines, excavators, drilling machines and trucks operating on local lines. An extra-comfort cab can be installed on the truck on the client’s demand.

High cabs

are installed on trucks designated to carry heavy and large-size cargos over long distances. The cabs are equipped with 800mm-wide comfortable bunks.

Cab design

GLOROS trucks feature cabs manufactured using the latest technologies, such as combining metal frames with glued-on glass fiber plastic panels.

There are no metal elements on the outside of the cab, which effectively eliminates the problem of corrosion. The glass fiber plastics possessing a high resiliency do not just dampen the shocks, but are capable of fully restoring their original form, self-smoothing out deformations of up to 60-80 mm without any damage left, as distinct from the cabs made from metals.

A cab made from glass fiber plastics possesses a number of additional advantages. Plastic cabs are unrivalled and irreplaceable in conditions of the North. Being thicker than in the metal cabs and possessing a lesser heat conductivity the material serves as a good thermal insulation.

The principal distinction from traditional metal cabs consists in the use of a metal frame in the cab structure, which bears all the mechanical loads. This enables to minimize deformations of the cab exterior panels in the course of the truck operation.

GLOROS trucks feature a conceptually distinctive approach to the cab thermal and noise insulation. The space between exterior and interior panels is filled with polyurethane foam. This type of insulation is especially efficient in northern regions.
The use of the new technology has resulted in better isolation of the cab from the engine. The three-layered cab base (the “sandwich” principle) consists of two strata of plastic with a layer of thermal- and noise-insulating material in between. Owing to this technology, the base is made 30-mm thick, while being very lightweight.

The four-point spring suspension with built-in shock absorbers ensures exceptionally comfortable and safe driving even in off-the-road conditions. As an option, a pneumatic suspension of the cab can be installed.

The spacious windscreen and windows and large rearview mirrors provide an excellent all-round field of vision for the driver. If so requested, glass packages can be installed in door windows and a split windshield can be fitted instead of a panoramic-view windshield.

The cab ventilation and heating system

The cab ventilation and heating system includes a ventilation-and-heating unit and, as the options offered, an independent auxiliary heater Air Top 2000 and an air conditioning system incorporated in the service ventilation system.

Owing to the original interior air circulation circuit and the air intake design, Air Top 2000 independent air heaters produced by Webasto are renowned as the least noisy in their class. The ceramic technologies employed in heaters of this line enable to tangibly minimize the charger battery loads. The heaters are automatically controlled by an electronic control unit. The power is adjusted within the range of 0.9 KW to 2 KW.

Control boards

The controls and measuring instruments are located in such a way as to enable the driver to fully monitor operation of the vehicle’s main units and aggregates without diverting his attention from the road situation. The logical arrangement of the instruments allows the driver to get all the required information even on briefly glancing at the dashboard.
The principal controls are within easy reach, placed in a manner whereby the driver can use them staying on his seat, without changing the normal working posture.

The transmission status display is distinguished by its original design. The numerous lockups (the axles and differential lockups) are controlled by switches combined with the electronic display unit. The logical and wise arrangement of the controls and indicators enables the driver to control with ease the regimens of operation of the transmission and monitor the status of its mechanisms. When the front axles are locked up, an alarm signal is activated warning the driver of the partial loss of control of the vehicle.

There are two bays above the windshield of the truck, where audio speakers are also located. The first bay can be used to keep waybills, other documents and sundry articles. The other one can conveniently house a tape player and a tachograph. Information from the tachograph can be shown on an electronic display. The speed metering system is prepared for installation of a digital tachograph which is to be used in the European Union countries only.

Steering post

The steering post is of the energy-absorbing design, adjustable for height and tilt.
All GLOROS trucks are equipped with anti-hijack devices.

Driver seat

The driver seat made by KAB Seating, featuring a new-generation pneumatic suspension, is ideal for working in quarries and off-the-road conditions. All the seats are adjustable by tilt and height so as to suit any individual driver during driving. On the customer’s wish the driver’s workstation can have a heated seat. All seats are equipped with built-in three-point safety belts.
