YAROVIT Truck Project

A.M.Birukov, President of YAROVIT Holdings

The objective of YAROVIT Truck Project is to organize production of heavy-duty trucks meeting the demand of the clients in quality cargo vehicles and adequate services enabling to use the equipment throughout its life cycle.

YAROVIT trucks are multi-axle vehicles featuring greater laden weights and axle loads than those admissible on public roads, designed to haul cargoes in complex road and climatic conditions.

The truck line offered is formed on the basis of all-wheel-drive chassis of various wheel formulae: «6x6», «8x8» and «10x8». A wide array of options goes with the trucks, making it possible to implement the idea of meeting the buyers’ individual requirements. As distinct from numerous European makes whereby chassis with the minimal number of driving axles are considered as foundations to build multi-axle trucks on, YAROVIT’s basic models are all-wheel-drive ones, oriented at optioning using the “from complex to simple” principle.

Various-purpose vehicles are built on the basis of the chassis: a bolster truck, a dump truck, a lumber truck, a short logger, a concrete mixer, etc.

YAROVIT trucks use high-quality foreign-made and domestically produced aggregates and units, ensuring the supreme technology level of the vehicle, on a par with the best trucks made by European manufacturers.

The truck production concept makes use of the principle of two-level cooperation with other manufacturers: cooperation at the aggregate and unit level, and cooperation at the level of parts made for aggregates and units of own design and development. Based on this principle, the key components of the main production facility are the truck assembly shop and the mechano-processing shop where parts of the frames, suspensions and cab frames are machined.

The aggregates and units of the company’s own design and development include: the cab, the frame, the suspension, the driving axles, the transfer case, the centralized tire inflation system. Depending on the customer’s wishes, the truck can be built with units and aggregates of Occidental production, or those made by the YAROVIT Group of Companies.

The truck assembling technology is based on the freely-moving conveyor principle, which essentially consists in moving the assembly parts freely on bogeys between work stations. The assembly chart allows for asynchronous operations performed at the work stations and thus for combining two or more operations at the same work station. In the process of developing the production, as in 2004, or for small-scale production programs, the stationary building berth assembly principle is also feasible (as is used currently), whereby main aggregates and units sub-assembling sections are organized (the engine, the cab, cable looms, piping).

The production organization envisages using units and aggregates of own production, or made by the leading CIS and foreign manufacturers, corresponding to the world quality level. Optimal variants of the aggregates’ setup, the wise combination of their performance characteristics, a clever compromise between the truck quality and its consumer value, have endowed YAROVIT trucks with a number of competitive advantages: a high efficiency, quality and reliability, the rational price which is lower than the prices of foreign-made vehicles in the same class.
